13 days left until any decisions come out for EA... any advice for the waiters? Can't Imagine waiting another 13 days let alone more months if I get rolled over into RA.

Satisfied with the wisdom of the 8 ball. Probably better predictor than trying to do any statistic crunching work to calculate some obscure percentage:groupwave:

End of 1st semester next week for many. Busy time getting projects, papers, performances, etc. finished. Followed by final exams next week. Any winter sport athletes are in middle of the season. A lot going on to have time sitting around thinking about responses from colleges.

Yes but lots of parents are also rocking back and forth waiting and hoping for good news for their DD/DS...

Well, you could try:

A sense of humor is a required soft skills for the SA application process.
This is great! Thanks for the laughs- just trying to not share my own nervousness on to our DD- must be so difficult for the applicants. Last night my DD told me over the phone that she thinks her Papa will be so disappointed if she doesn’t get in. She obviously wants it more than all of her family cheering her on, but as a parent I remind myself often to recognize how hard this is for our children. Wanting to witness them get what they are working so hard for - if they do not receive an appointment this time around (or ever) we must assure them that they are no less loved and respected, with an extremely rewarding adventure awaiting them. 💪🥰 writing this with all my fingers and toes crossed!

Last year we were in your shoes. Deferred notice happened in mid December. Disappointment initially. The extra time allowed her to further build her application with some awards and accomplishment her senior year. She waited it out and was offered an appointment as soon as the Regular Decision window opened. She accepted and is now a 4C completing her first semester.

Don't take a deferred notification the wrong way. Only so many early applications are offered. If deferred your application is very strong and now you have the time to add to it. Be positive and use the extra time to make the application even better.
Best of luck

Thank you for the advice.

In California, we don't hear back from most colleges until March. My cadet heard from the CGA the last week of March. Thankfully an acceptance, but yes, the wait is very tough. I would just try to distract yourself, as it could very well be another three months before you get a decision. good luck. I know it's tough.
