Hello, I was humbled to receive and have the opportunity to accept my appointment to the Air Force Academy for the class of 2025. In preparation for I-day and things to come, I have been working out constantly to stay in peak shape. Is there any other advice current or former cadets have for me for being ready?

Nothing stupid! Social Media, alcohol, cars, drugs, pregnancy, etc. That means if you're at a party and someone is drinking, LEAVE. Drive like your grandmother. This is not the time to start BASE jumping. Nothing on social media that is even remotely "risque". I know this all goes without saying, but it is too important to ignore. Of course, all of the positive things too. Good grades, stay involved, time with your family.

Don't get injured prior to I-day. Keep your sense of humor during BCT and just remember it only lasts 6 weeks and the rest of your time at USAFA and certainly your time on Active Duty will be very different from BCT. Be yourself. Be a team player.
