I just got accepted as a Candidate, and I'm always having that constant worry that I'm not doing enough to be competitive for an appointment. Is there any advice/any way I can prepare for the next steps of my application?

Others may give their feedback but I would encourage you to just browse this forum. All of it is here - the advice, the feedback, the details of different journeys to the culmination of receiving an appointment. Whether it's information on Nominations or DoDMERB or essay topics - the best way to learn about anything and everything is to just search through these threads. Pretty quickly you'll know who the regular posters are and the wealth of knowledge that they bring to this forum and how to sift through the comments. It's a long journey but this forum is a wonderful resource. Good luck!

Be versatile! Do lots of things. Team sports are vital, even though some continue to rage against them. Do not be fixated on grades. Read! Read widely and anything you can get your hands on. Nothing prepares you for academic success like reading.
