Does the AF Academy Parents of the Class of 2018 have a Facebook page? A friend of mine lives adjacent to the Academy and usually rents her house out for the graduation week. Usually she has it rented out a year in advance, but for some reason this year she hasn't. For the Coast Guard Academy we have a parent's page for each class. Is there something like this for the Air Force?
 
I’m sure they do. Your friend should do a search on FB for such a group. That’s the best way to find one.

If your friend wants to rent out their place, a FB page specific to one class wouldn't be my first choice. Relatives/grandparents/family friends, etc. who might be potential renters probably don't use something that specific. Better to post it on one of those area rental sites.

That's for all the helpful advice. She's been doing this since her brother Graduated the Academy in 1989.
 
There are 2 general USAFA Parent FB groups that I know of and groups for each class, not to mention a few squadron specific parent groups. But all are closed groups. I agree with Time2, her best bet will be on VRBO, Airbnb, etc. We rented a house over PW from a 2010 USAFA grad via Airbnb.
 
There are 2 private FB groups for 2018 parents and a couple that are non-class specific. What works really well is word of mouth. So for example, if last years renters had a great time you friend could ask if they could post in the general parent FB page recommending their place. In addition to above resources, your friend could also list on Craiglist. There is a Colorado Springs specific board. I do some work for a vacation rental company who uses Craigslist regularly with excellent success.
