AFA Class of 2011 Press Release?

My son has been contacted by our local weekly paper and his high school councelor about his appointment. Does the AFA send out a press release that I could forward to the local paper, etc? I recall that something of the sort was included with his summer seminar packet last year. The appointee "kit" he received in the mail yesterday did not include anything like that. Also, concerning his senior awards ceremony, should he contact someone to "present" him with his appointment? Who would that be? Thanks for posting so much information here for us newbies.
 
There is usually a press release...His nominating source might put one out, also. You could call addmissions if all else fails.

Usually, an appointee's ALO would do the presentation at an awards ceremony.
