I have for the last few of years been working hard on upping my credentials to help get into the Academy, and had a question about the Prep School. I know you cannot directly apply to the Prep School but if I were to not be accepted to the Academy, what are my chances of getting accepted into the Prep School. Do most people move on from the Prep School to the AFA?

Extra question, I am a sophomore, its a bit early to start applying. But what can I do to help get the process ready, and increase my chances.

I found my local Admission Liaisons Officer's email, do I even need to talk to him, what should I ask him? It has been my dream to be in the AFA since I was a pre-teen, sorry if I get repetitive or ask dumb questions, I will pretty much do anything to become a AFA cadet, or at least have a fighting chance.

I began looking into USAFA as a sophomore as well, and I have just completed my pre candidate questionnaire. My advice is that you email your ALO early on and introduce yourself. Let them know who you are, where you're from, and what you hope to achieve. Having contact with him is crucial. The earlier you begin, the better your interview will go later on. You don't want to be the kid who emails him for the first time at the last minute requesting an interview. Just email him any questions you have about USAFA and give him updates on how you're doing. (When receiving awards, Varsity letters, AP test scores, PSAT scores, SAT/ACT scores, if you've been accepted into SS, what sports you play, what clubs you attend/govern, etc)

Thanks for the response. I got in contact with my ALO yesterday.
