AFROTC Board #2

Here's my prediction:

Post 1...Well today is almost over and no word.
Post 2...Anyone know if they do updates over the weekend?
Post 3..Let's hope for something on Monday
Post 4...Another day's come and gone, maybe by the end of the week?

I think we'll hear back around 5pm this evening. The website says on or around 5 March

my DD heard at 5:59pm EST when she heard...but that was the CLS... Though it was a Friday afternoon so hang in there!!

commanders scholarship... each detachment has one they can offer outside the national board...DD got a Type 1 the week before the board... only consequence is ap is pulled and scholarship must be used at the offered detachment...otherwise is exactly the same as a Type 1
 
My DS's package met the Feb 22nd board and he received an email last night from a detachment commander that has been helping with his application. The email said the results would be delayed to a yet unspecified time. So....we continue to wait....

By unspecified time, does it include delayed date as well?

Here's what the email said:

"I want to let you know that late this afternoon AFROTC Headquarters updated their website to indicate that the release of results from the February HSSP Board has been delayed to a yet to be determined time. I am truly sorry for the delay and understand how frustrating this must be."

Being an impatient mom, this still isn't stopping me from checking the AFROTC portal and DODMERB repeatedly today....
 
From what I've seen on other sites the word is that we should expect them next Thursday or Friday.
 
Air Force Recruiting Service is at Randolph AFB in San Antonio, Central time. I think if there's nothing by 1600 CST there won't be anything until next week at the earliest...and if they were anywhere close to finalizing, they'd have stayed late this week to complete. So, with the above-referenced email, I'm guessing it will be late into next week, if we're lucky.
 
This is what my DS's applicant status within the Holmes Center when I clicked on it, "Welcome XXX, your scholarship application status is "Eligible". Your AFROTC Scholarship interview has been received and processed. Your application will meet the next available selection board, scheduled February 22. Results will be released on or about March 30. You can check back here to view the results. We will also mail you a notification letter explaining whether or not you've been offered a scholarship."

March 30! Yesterday, this same page said March 5th.

x2. Same thing. Bumbarumba. Last board is 22-26 March 2021 so they're probably planning to release results of Boards 2 and 3 together.
