AFROTC PDT Schedules

Is there any way to find out the schedules for some of the AFROTC PDT programs next summer? My DS is a first year AFROTC cadet at Western Michigan Univ. and he recently told me that PDTs are mandatory - 1 for GMCs and 1 for POCs. So he'll be applying for a PDT to do this upcoming summer. However, he is also planning on taking summer classes and getting more flight hours - either WMU's Summer I or Summer II term. Registration for the WMU summer terms is in February. And I doubt he'll be able to hear anything back about AFROTC PDT applications by then. So it looks like he'll just have to pick which summer term to take classes and then hope he's able to get a PDT that he wants in the part of summer he's not taking classes. He really would like to do the AFA Freefall program, but again, he doesn't know when it is available.

Yes, he did ask. If he didn’t already ask his cadre, I wouldn’t be asking this question on this forum. I prefer to let him act like a responsible adult at this point in his life - I’m here for him for support and advice.

At this point, the cadre don’t have any scheduling information for the detachment. I’m just wondering if anyone else has heard anything about schedules yet.

I'm a POC at WMU. The dates for Ops AF come out in December of the previous year, but they are just a general idea, and not actual set in stone dates. Also, the cadet must be contracted in order to do a PDT. As far as WMU goes, I would take Summer I classes since more classes are offered then (Aviation wise) and do the PDT if eligible in Summer II.
