AFROTC "Reboarded"

DS has a new message on AFROTC scholarship website saying "reboarded". Anyone else? I looked it up and it looks like a recent board was Space Force only. I think this may mean he didn't get a Space Force scholarship and is being reboarded for Air Force that happens at the end of the month, but I am not entirely sure. Anyone else have any experience with this and want to share?
 
My status was also updated to "reboarded". Don't know or understand what this means.
 
DS is "reboarded" as well. I think it just means he is ready for the board coming up this month.
 
DS is "reboarded" as well. He received an email (yesterday) saying he wasn't selected at this time, but will continue to be evaluated by the selection board. The next board convenes on/around 26 Feb. So, maybe on 15 March we will all get a different update!
 
You should read "reboarded" as "still in the running". Your application was at-least queued-up for consideration in the last board, don't know - maybe they ran out of time, maybe the line above which scholarships were awarded for the last board was just above your application. But you didn't receive a rejection, and they agreed to consider you in a future board. Read: You still have hope - hang in there. Good luck.

Do you know if all candidates not selected this round are reboarded, or if some are notified that they will not be moving on and their files closed?
 
The last board was only for space force. My DS marked the box, but then changed his mind about applying to sfrotc. So his app was boarded, but then rebooarded for the Feb board.

Some candidates have already been notified that they are not going to receive a HSSP scholarship from the Air force in this application year. Search the board and you'll see examples from 2019 to present- from December, January through March/ April as boards convene, and iteratively as candidates were notified they were rejected - rejections, acceptances will continue. . Was this specific board one in which rejections went out as well as the acceptances and notifications that candidates have been reboarded that we know about? Straight feedback - just focus on your candidacy please - you're still in a position of hope/ others are not and have already been rejected. I could phone a friend to validate if rejections went out in the last board, but honestly, I don't think you should seek comfort on their bad news. Hard to tell tone in a message board - well intended as straight feedback/ guidance with as little edge as is possible. Good luck.

I appreciate the feedback. I was just looking for some clarification regarding the process as a whole, and I apologize for not thinking to utilize the search function. Again, I appreciate the feedback.

Similar situation here... my son changed his mind and didn't pursue the Space Force interview and is focusing on Air Force. So when he initially got the notice he wasn't selected this round and was being reboarded, we first interpreted it like a "deferral" from a traditional college. However, we later realized the board was Space Force-specific, and we remain hopeful for the next Air Force board.
 
My son also went from "eligible" to "reboarded", I guess it just means we have to wait a bit longer.
