AFROTC Summer Programs

Just a few question about the summer opportunities offered during afrotc. What programs are offered? What are the benefits of attending these programs? How competitive is it for entrance or can anyone go? And lastly am I allowed to attend any of these programs during the summer I go to FT? Thanks!:thumb:
 
This summer POC cadets at our det with tech majors were invited to Air Force Institute of Technology for the Advanced Cyber Education (ACE) program...don't know bout 2013 though.
 
Right now, summer programs are basically non-existent due to budget cuts. An AS400 friend of mine got to go to Japan and ride on the open deck of a C-130 as an AS200, and now there is practically nothing to even apply for. Kind of a bummer.
