Hello. My daughter was awarded the Type 7 AFROTC scholarship. If anybody here has been awarded the Type 7 and attended ERAU in Florida, I'd be interested in hearing your experience with tuition. Sounds like converting to Type 2 would be the preferred way to go? Did ERAU offer scholarship money as well? My son was awarded the four year AROTC scholarship at ERAU. They turned around and offered to pay room/board/books but this was about four years ago. He ended up at one of the military academies so we didn't actually get to see all of this in action.

Thank you for any feedback.

Are you from the state of Florida by any chance? If so look into the bright futures scholarship for any fl school including ERAU. There are president, provost scholarships too often offered by the school. I would recommend your dd reach out to the university Afrotc detachment to ask what they might offer. At ERAu arotc and nrotc do offer room and board for rotc scholarship winners. I’m not sure about afrotc though. A good question for their cadre. Congrats to your dd and your family.

Erau is private so yes the conversion to type 2 would be ideal. I think the afrotc unit may offer some funds for those wishing to use a type 7 at this achool. Huge afrotc program at this school. Good luck!
