Good Evening Everyone,
So this summer I was planning on attending Field Training for Air Force ROTC. Then I got an unexpected DQ for 'Optic Nerve Anomaly."
A very large reason as to why I joined AFROTC was to become a pilot. There's a good chance that I would still attempt to commission if I were to be DQ's from the pilot position.
So I guess I have a two-part question:
Would this DQ in-turn DQ me from being a pilot even if I were to receive a waiver?
Is there any timeline on when I would be able to receive the waiver? I know the process is ungodly painful and may take a long time but I was just wondering if anyone had an idea on when I could expect to receive the waiver. It has been almost 2 weeks at this point.
Thank you in advance!
