In our experience, the AFROTC Waiver Board was the fastest to review my son's record and grant a waiver. USNA and USAFA took a little longer. His status with the NROTC Waiver Board never did change from "Pending," even though the NROTC scholarship was the first offer he received. Be glad it's the AFROTC Waiver Board.
I hope you hear something soon. If the information they were interested in was the same as AROTC, you won't have to send in anything new, and it should go faster (presumably). If they requested different information, then it may take a little longer.
I feel for you since you'll be stalking the DoDMERB portal. My son had received a LOA from USNA back in January that was pending on the medical qualification. So, we looked at the DoDMERB portal at least a couple of times each day. The day I decided I wasn't going to look anymore, was the day he came home and told me he received the waiver.
