AIM session waitlist

I am super bummed about being waitlisted for session III, since it’s the only one I can attend... Does anyone know what the odds of are of getting into the session, or if they will possibly add more slots to account for the high number of enrollments?

I feel it is kinda unlikely to be off the waitlist because alot of people are eager to do the inperson program since it's the only SA to do it, while all the others are virtual. Also, I don't think they'll add more since there's only a limited amount of cadres to be assigned to each group, as well as covid restrictions. I might be wrong but this is what I think and heard of

we will be offered spots in the virtual session if we don't get off the waitlist. at least that's what was sent out in an email a couple of days ago.

tbh I was thinking of going for the virtual since it is way cheaper since no need for airplane tickets and stuff like that, but I thought to myself this s my only chance for in person and this is the realistic summer camp to the school that is officer for any SA, so I decided to take that shot

hahaha I waited for the email for over an hour with my email open on my computer and kept refreshing and refreshing until they finally sent it out at 5:00! I really wanted in person!

Same here! After a few communications with USCGA admissions, I picked up on their pattern of sending large emails at around 4-5. My guess is that they do this towards the end of their work hours so that they don't have to deal with calls from upset parents or students lol

That's actually a smart move for them haha since probably by tomorrow the parents would have a understanding and would've most likely calmed down a little when they received their call

Waitlist for going to a inperson session. I believe that everyone here got accepted into the program

If it makes gives you hope, I was originally waitlisted last year for AIM and I was offered a spot at the very beginning of June

Hey all, a couple hours ago I was notified through email that I am now registered for the third session. Seems like they are moving people off the waitlist. That's good news; for all those still waitlisted, don't lose hope! Payment is due on the 20th of May to the 15th of June so I'm guessing that entire time period is fair game for those waitlisted. Good luck!

edit: also if you are waitlisted you will still be offered a spot in the first session; im not sure if this will allow you to remain on the waitlist up until June 15th but here's to hoping.

yeah, the people that got in were the ones who probably waited by their computer for the emails so its strange that the same students are dropping their registrations... there might be a chance more spots are being added but I think that's highly unlikely.
