Air Force Academy CFA confusion and delay

Hello! I’m a candidate for the USAFA (and USMA). I took my CFA with my USMA field force officer and only managed 3 pull-ups. I’d also listed the USMA as my first priority for receiving a congressional nomination. And my high school transcripts weren’t updating, despite me sending multiple emails asking the Air Force Academy what was up. Figuring all was lost for the Air Force Academy (what are the chances I receive both nominations I requested AND 3 pull-ups is somehow acceptable AND they get my transcripts updated without telling me?), I didn’t forward my CFA scores from West Point to the USAFA.

West Point gave me a second chance on the pull-ups a few days later, and I’m now managing 5 with proper form (the day of the CFA I wasn’t used to the pull-up bar and started way too wide). Obviously poor, but passable based on what I’ve read of other forum-goers. Imagine my surprise when I receive a nomination to West Point. I checked my USAFA application portal and I’d also received a nomination there.

Now what? If I ask West Point to forward my scores, will they send the original pull-up count of 3? You can’t ordinarily superscore CFAs, right? My deadline was the 15th, and two weeks after that is three (effectively two) days from now. If I want the Air Force Academy as an option, what should I do? Should I ask them for an extension and schedule another CFA? Should I contact my Liaison officer to arrange that? Am I too late?

Thanks in advance for any advice I receive.

Visit your portal and find who your counseling team is. Email them and have West Point send your scores. Since you are overdue for your CFA and close to the deadline of closing your kit, I do not think you have enough time to retake. While 3 pull-ups may not have been your best performance, having the score in will allow USAFA to ask you to retake assuming you are competitive in all other aspects. Transcripts have been taking way longer than usual this year so do not worry about that.
