Air Force Intel Question

I was looking at the FY17 Accessions goals for the Air Force and noticed that only 30% of selected intel officers were planned to be tech majors. I was wondering why this is? Is it that tech majors tend not to put down Intel on their wish list as much to non tech majors? Or is it for some other reason. I'm curious because I'm a tech major and I'm trying to gauge my chances of getting different jobs. Thanks.

To put it simply if your stats are high enough and you do the best you possibility can there will be room for you.
