Has anyone received a letter of recommendation for the air-force prep school from their senator or congressman. If so were you able to view the letter and what state/district did they come from

I don't think you get nominated to a prep school.

Correct me if I'm wrong: You get nominated to a service academy, and then the admission officers will decide if you are eligible for direct appointment or prep school. Hope this helps!

You are correct but an MOC office reaching out to admissions about a candidate that is on the bubble may carry some weight.

Can you please explain to me what direct entry means? I have seen it also on the appointment thread also as Direct Appointment.. not clear what this means.

direct entry means that you enter will enter USAFA as a 4th year (freshman). You can either get appointed direct entry to USAFA or to USAFA Prep School. In prep school, you will have 10 months to compete for a slot into USAFA as a 4th year. You may or may not get an entry to USAFA upon graduating USAFA Prep School
