DD preferred to email because she could respond back after (or before) school. She did not want telephone calls or hurried text messages (both ways) during school. I also recommend this, given DD's experience this year. Far better to have time to digest and respond coherently to an email.
DD had very little contact with ALO, but didn't need it. She just didn't have any questions and worked quickly through the application items. The questions she did have were administrative/portal questions, so only USAFA admissions could answer, such as getting CFA from SLE uploaded.
She emailed ALO when she was finished and awaiting her Evaluator interview. Then ALO spoke with her 20 minutes to prepare her for interview. She emailed him to say she accepted offer of appointment. She'll email him tonight to request a presenter at the senior banquet and to sign the tattoo form. I know this because we are down to one laptop so I have to stop surfing SAF from 7-9 pm.
