Hello, everyone. I am only a sophomore in high school, but I am wondering if I am on the right path so far. I'm sorry if this annoys some people. I have seen posts that have said that no one knows if I am guaranteed to get accepted, but I would like to get some advice. Here are some info about me:

I feel that my freshman year was pretty solid, but I am on the border between an A (90) and B (89) in most of my classes this year. What worries me the most is AP physics. This is the first time I've gotten a C in high school. It is a low grade not because I slack off, but because I can't seem to understand the concepts as well as other students. I am worried that the C will affect my application heavily in the future. I will not give up, and am currently working on bringing it up to an 80 at least for 2nd semester and final. I will take BC Calculus, AP Spanish, AP Chemistry, and AP Computer Science next year. I also plan to head Asian Awareness Club next year because the club has not been well led this year. I also am sure that I will make V Golf next year because I have talked with the head coach. Am I on the right path? Anything I should focus on specifically? Any other advice? I'm terribly sorry for making this thread long, but I am grateful to anyone who has read this, and commented. Thank you.

Do your best to work on AP Physics, but realize that there are people who have been appointed with a C before. Go to tutoring, ask for one on one help, just keep working at it, you seem to have the right attitude.

Work on leadership, and might as well start practicing for the CFA.

This is the general advice I've seen others give to people similar to you.

Also start studying hard for SAT/ACT.

Best of luck from a fellow 19er! :thumb:

Goals

You're on the right path by setting obtainable goals with time limits. SA are looking for the best all around student, they base this on Three Pillars-Academics, Athletics and Leadership.

I too express work hard on the ACT/SAT tests. You will need to be in the 30/700 range to be competitive. Every year it gets more stressful.

Push Hard, Press Forward

From what we have heard from many, many sources, your grades are important; however, your performance on the standardized tests (ACT or SAT) will carry more weight.
