AMA - fish @ Texas A&M

My DS completed his application about two weeks ago. He is OOS so top 10% doesn't apply. He indicated he plans to enroll in core of cadets and is in the process for an AROTC Scholarship. Any idea how long the admissions decisions usually take ? His first choice major is Poly Sci.

Admissions decisions really depend. I was OOS and applied in September and didn't hear back till January. The waiting game sucks but it's worth the wait. I'm not that knowledgeable about the Army but Poly Sci should be good. I have a buddy that is Poly Sci and is a Navy contract(4yr). Remember the Patriot Scholarship will pay Room and Board and if you do not have a contract(or end up not wanting one) the Murray Scholarship will let all OOS students pay the same price as in state students.
 
Thanks for the response. TAMU is his first choice and listed as first choice with AROTC Scholarship application. Hopefully this all helps with the admissions process.
