A few questions that I couldn't find the specific answers to in prior threads on withdrawing 529 funds...
Has the 2022 Cadet Scholarship and/or Educational Investment Plan Proceeds memorandum been released yet? I can find the 2021 memorandum (dated 5/3/2021), but nothing yet for 2022.
Is the most recent year in the memorandum the amount eligible to be withdrawn from a 529 for the cost of education (CoE)? For example, was a cadet starting in June 2021 eligible to withdraw up to the $75,480 listed for Oct 2019 thru Sept 2020 (the most recent date listed on the 5/3/2021 memorandum)?
What time of year do most parents withdraw funds? Right away in the summer, or wait until later in that calendar year or next?
Can the cadet expenses listed on the memorandum also be paid from a 529, in addition to a draw for CoE?
Lastly, am I correct to assume that most parents distribute the funds to the cadet, to minimize the tax liability (and presumably pay that liability for them)?
Thanks in advance. Copy of the 5/3/2021 memorandum attached...
