This is a weird one but as time goes on, I can’t help but wonder when the TWE’s come out and if those get reported as well. We have tons of friends that haven’t gotten in to their prospective schools here in FL and, in fact, most know their status at all of the places they’ve applied. Does USNA just wait to tell you no? Seems kinda cruel...

Or Thin White Envelope, a counterweight to the BFE.
Or The Worst Email, If the news comes that way.

I am sure the “Unable to offer appointment” messages are out there.

People can choose or not to share the news. USNA states up front when applicants can expect to hear. This is a much more involved backroom process than at civilian schools, with medical clearances and waivers, nom juggling, awaiting NAPS and Foundation updates on candidates from those programs, evaluating college re-applicants, determining NAPS and Foundation offers, along with constant monitoring of various stats on how the class is building out.

One of the kids I mentored got a medical rejection today too. These appear to be the first ones I seen this year. Usually March we start to see them in batches.

What does that entail? Do you mean they had an LOA waiting for a waiver or just DQ'd by DoDMERB?

In the case I saw it means the they were not granted a waiver by USNA and therefore we’re not medically qualified.
