Any Prior-Enlisted Hopefuls?

Actually, 6 July is 8 Days earlier than last years report date. That seems a little much, not just a few days, AND when we were there for the LEAD DVP Colonel Weiss told us they were considering having the priors come early to help do basic training. We'll see though.
 
Ya like I said I am not 100% positive, but I do know that NAPS priors arrive a week before the others. And like I also said things could have changed since I was last informed, but last I heard prior did not run basics. Maybe one of the Moderators have more information. They would be the best source on this site. Or just wait and see when you get there :) Either way it will be a great ride.
 
Is there anyone who found out if they made it or not today? I know priors who were informed that they got accepted when they visited the academy received orders today... anyone else heard anything?!

I spoke the the lt, Prior enlisted will be running basic. This is something new they're trying.
 
I'm sorry, but how does that work? Yes, you all have been through it once and know the ropes, but it takes away from tradition. All cadre has been made up of seniors that I know of and I'd be really sad to see that taken away.

I am sure they are talking about the prep school no the academy.

My daughter is a cadre for First Basic. My understanding is that they have been told that priors will be involved in some aspect of helping to run Basic this year. I don't know how that will work or why this is occurring. But it is what cadre have been told.
 
Holy crap, you mean first basic like during freshman year? That's crazy.:shake:

Good luck everyone! I hope my CC doesn't pull something and make me think I'm in trouble! Does anyone know if they let the priors know if they didn't make it as well, because waiting anxiously till May 15th would be slightly annoying.

I'm sure they'd let your commander know either way. You should also get a mailing with the admissions decision too.

Yep. The admissions office let me know that they will let your commander know either way. :shake: Good luck all, i'm hoping to hear from my supervisor today. I'm on leave today.

I'm on a comp day and I start leave tomorrow. =P A week in Chicago will do me good. Just wish I used my brains and didn't book a 0600 flight tomorrow morning... O_O
