Any Prior-Enlisted Hopefuls?

I got mine last week sometime while I was on leave. I picked it up on Monday. I guess this would count as the second BFE, because I had already accepted my appointment while at the LEAD DVP.

Also, on an unrelated note, I hear this is the first year that USAFA has ever filled their prior enlisted quota. Apparently they had 5-6 priors applying for each slot this year. :eek:
 
Yeah they did meet the quota and have to admit I am kinda bummed. I have been accepted but I am waitlisted so my wait continues. The Lt. said I am #2 on the list so I they are trying to push the top 5 in and at the same time they are waiting for an Airman to lose thier spot due to them being stupid or a medical clearance to fall through. Sadly I am hoping someone screws up. HAHAHA. Just a note....no one take what I said personally we all want to go.:cool:
 
I received the TWE this week when I got back from leave. Surprisingly I'm not that disappointed, and there is always next year. Best of luck to everyone!
 
I'm still waiting on orders. Anyone who recently found out they got accepted, received orders yet?
 
Why do I see some people saying that HS students are arriving the 13th, and all my paperwork is stating a July 6th showtime. It doesn't make sense to have all of us a whole week before everyone else, unless there is some master plan. Does anyone have any solid information regarding this?
 
Prior enlisted are coming on 6 july. We are teaching basic or whatever, so they are bringing us out a week early to teach us to do that. Admissions told me this, it's not a rumor.
 
Oh cool. Should be a definite learning experience. Is this a new thing theyre doing this year or have they always done this?
 
It's new this year. Prep School got a new commander last year, so he's trying new things.
 
I got my second BFE today. :D Start expecting them soon guys. It was post marked 31 May.
 
HELL YEAH!!! Finally after waiting this whole time I got the official word from my base Commander. See you all at Prep!!
 
The Lt. at the Academy said they have known for 2 weeks now so I dont know why I wasnt informed earlier but I really dont care now. Thanks for the facebook page I will go on there on now.
 
I wish but she was here the whole time so who knows. I am a little behind so any advice on how to get this whole outprocessing thing going and stuff?
 
you really can't start until you get your assignment notification. once that happens, you can start bugging MPF for your orders. =P treat it like a normal PCS. You really can't start until you have your assignment notification. It takes a bit of time for USAFA to send the assignment to HQAFPC and then for them to send it to your MPF. Chances are, if you go bug your MPF about it now, they won't know anything about it. They won't know about it until you have your notification. (It will be an automated e-mail)
 
good luck preppies, I'm a prior that graduated the P last month... Y'all are the test group for priors teaching basic training, first class ever to do so. P school is a lot of fun, just be patient with your young classmates it can be hard!
