I realize that the whole "validation" question has probably been answered a lot on here, but I'm confused on how/which AP classes come into play on this subject.

Because AP exams are pretty expensive, and if you have to buy 5, for example, it can be quite costly, I want to know which ones will help validate classes, if any.

I have heard that some APs validate classes at the Academy but for a majority of classes you have to take an additional test during Beast.

I am taking AP Chem, Calc AB, Eng Lit, Micro and Macro Econ. Which of these tests will validate classes for me if i do well on them? Which ones should I not waste my time with, if any?

Take all of them, good assurance in case you have to go to a civilian school instead of the Academy (injury, illness, etc.)/

Regardless of AP test scores, you will still take the validation tests during beast. You can validate a class without ever having taking the AP class/test, but if you do poorly on a validation test, you can attempt to be placed in a higher level class, using the AP score as proof that you have mastered the material.

So if you fail the validation test but get the required score they say to have for the AP test to validate you still only place in higher class...WTF:unhappy:?

Yes, if you fail the validation test during BCT, but have the AP scores, you can still choose to validate. (That is an indication that you may struggle with the higher level class, though.)
