Hey guys, quick question. Does WP give credit to AP Computer Science. Specifically, AP Computer Science Principals? I checked their website, but it only mentions specific one such as APUSH, APLIT, and APCALC. Thanks in advance.

AP credits are to save you some money from college by not taking a course but since WP is free, there really isn't college credit. If you have high enough scores on the AP exam and their own tests at the Academy, you will just be moved into a more advanced class. So if you do well you may not need to take that class but know it will just be substituted.

Some classes can be validated, but I don't think CS is one of those. AP CS will allow you to place into the advanced section of CS.

Validating a class or placing into Jedi math frees up space to double major/minor or take extra courses in your major, but does not allow you to graduate early.

Thanks! If one were to not validate any courses, would this set them behind at West Point or prohibit them from double majoring, minoring, or taking other classes?

It would make it much more difficult, but depends on major. Some majors have more course requirements than others.

For most majors, without validation, you would likely have to overload to do much beyond the major. Probably impossible to double major.

During beast they will give you a validation test for IT105. If you know enough about programming and computers you can validate that course.

Thanks! That actually helps a lot.
