Should I even send my AP scores to the USNA to show them my success? I got 3 fives and 2 fours so I was thinking they would be impressed by my achievement. Is it a good idea or even worth it? Will admissions care about APs? (I know that APs will not validate classes, I'm just looking to impress)

I'm pretty certain my daughter sent her scores in from JR year and I know she had her SR year scores slated to be sent. She will be happy with them when she finds out what she had. I see no downside to sending them.

Where are you in the application process?

USNA will not be impressed per se, but your transcripts are a required piece of the application process. Your guidance counselor will provide information about you and your school and they can provide AP results.

Your AP test results will be a positive part of your overall story but they alone won't impress USNA as many other applicants will look similar.

My philosophy is that it can't really hurt, and the least it could do is help. If they don't need it, they'll just toss it. But itll show youre serious and that you want to be there. I just sent my scores in. I dont know what they'll do with it per se but I suppose it wont really negatively impact my chances.

Your scores are impressive. DS decided not to send his: he was wait-listed. But he sure sent them in as a college-reapplicant and received an Appointment. Was this the game-changer? Doubtful. But like I asked DS: why hide your light under a basket?
