AP World History

Guten Tag,
So I've run into a but of a predicament with AP World and (eventually) APUSH. I will be taking them online since I don't want to drop my electives and still have to take more German, but I've discussed with parents and counselors and none of them advise this as AP classes shouldn't be taken online/without an instructor. The problem is, there isn't an honors option. It's either AP or just regular world history. I'd like to take the most rigorous classes I can, but I worry that I'll end up not scoring well and it not being worth it if I take AP. What would you wonderful people recommend? How do you think admissions would view this.
Thanks again for y'all's help, God bless.
Absolutely take the AP class online! Here is a fantastic option, without any test proctors, at your own pace… Very easy to get an A. Both my kids did lots of a AP’s through this site. https://www.k12.com/private-academy/academics/high-school/ap-honors.html

Thanks for the advice. I'm working on my eagle scout right now, and I'm currently SPL for my troop. Next year I will be Varsity for XC, and then Junior year I will probably make varsity for track and be team captain for XC. I will most likely take AP Chem in my senior as a 4th science option, if not that then I'll take AP Computer Science Principles. Definitely doing AP Physics because I'm pretty solid at science and passed HS physical science with flying colors in middle school.
No problem. Since you mention CS Principles, consider skipping it and doing AP CS A instead. I think you'll find that most college programs don't offer credit for CS Principles. CS A carries a little more weight and is more focused on programming.

If you feel comfortable with physics, try getting AP Physics 1 done sophmore year. Follow it up with AP Physics C Mech after completing Calc AB. If you're feeling ambitious, Physics E&M...

With the exception of CS A, I found these to be difficult classes, but these are the gold standard for any STEM applicant at top 20 schools. Couple this with a 1400+ SAT or equivalent ACT and you'll be solid for the academic leg at any service academy.

Academics. Athletics. Leadership. Do you have all three? If not, an extra online AP history course will have next to no additional value in the application process.
I had no athletics but good academics but still got a scholarship.

Thank you everyone for your advice. They just recently added an honors option to the online world history class, and I think I'm going to go with that. Thanks so much again.
