I wanted to check and see if anyone else is having items being received by admissions. My DD has completed most everything on the list (personal statement,ACT, CFA) and had her teachers/counselors complete their part but it doesn't seem things are being checked off on the progress list. I am chalking it up to the new system and admissions being back logged up but wanted to check and see if anyone else is having any luck. Thanks

I have 5 or 6 items checked and should have at least 8. USNA also has not submitted any names to DoDMERB as of last Friday.
 
Mostly I've stayed away from DS application, but asked if I could see this part while he wraps up his essay. It did show that 1 teacher sent it in. I assume the coach that does the CFA will show that part checked when he does it soon. But where does the SAT show up? I didn't look through the whole thing, just wanted to see what the system showed. Letting him take care of follow ups and getting it done.
 
It’s a combo of the new system, influx of applications, mail system and summer turn over. The app opened later than normal due to the new system. So they are getting hit with a lot of items at once. Also remember, that the summer time is the normal rotation time for the military, so they rotate positions and new staff comes in. Also new staff that has PCSed has to ROM also in the Navy. It’s also the time of year when many of the staff take time off for vacation just like many folks do. We still don’t have our candidates in the BGO portal, but we did them this past weekend via email. Hang in there, the items will get processed.
 
And two hurricanes
And a Derecho
And COVID
And Zoom crashes
And just 2020....

Not making lite of it at all, but there are lots of weird things going on, beyond normal.

Who knows....maybe admissions has answered the ‘all hands on deck’ request to help serve meals to Mids. No idea, but I’m sure admissions has has things pulling them beyond their normal routine. Either directly or indirectly.

Anything that requires someone to approve it or be mailed in and entered can take up to 4 weeks at busy times. I asked this question directly to admissions on when a candidate should follow up on an item missing... 4 weeks was their answer.
 
Just thought y'all should know...my ds, after being assured by email that he'd been approved as a candidate in June, has still not gotten his candidate portal access. He did, just yesterday, get another email from the academy asking if this was the person who wished to apply to the academy and if so, could he please reply and confirm. Seems they some how got his stuff mixed up with someone else and are now trying to sort it all out. Fun times! Lol
