Application status

Does anyone know how long it takes to receive an email from DODMERB after submitting the application. I submitted it in late Jan, and I got an email on Monday saying my app will be forwarded to the CCEB within two weeks. But I still haven't received any email from DODMERB, I completed my DODMERB for USAFA and USMMA, both qualified.

Email your admissions officer that you have already been cleared for the other academies and that you would like them to add you to their list for dodmerb. This is what I did and was added within a week and cleared within 2 days.

I emailed my AO, she said that the admission and DODMERB process are independent and work in parallel. She said that I could receive a conditional appointment even if I have not complete the DODMERB. But it’s mid March now, and I still have not received an email from DODMERB.

You should only have to complete the DODMERB process once. If you have been qualified when applying for USAFA or USMMA, the USCGA should be able to see that you are medically qualified already.

This is what I received from my AO a few months back.
I had called the DodMETS CIV team and they said to contact my AO and that they would be the only ones to get our names added. My understanding is that the request has to come from the academy not us. In my case, my AO cc’d someone from the CIV team and got me added.

Unlike the other SAs USCGA do not request DODMERB for all applicants. They only request it for those that they believe are strong applicants.

I applied for the class of 2024, I was notified that I needed to complete the DODMERB. However, I was still rejected from the academy so not sure how good of a sign it is. I applied for the class of 2025 and was notified about the DODMERB process again so let’s see how things go round 2.
