Ok, so I have been selected for an Interview with a PMI at the school of my choice, which just so happens to be VMI. I have scheduled an interview for early august with Admissions and am planning on scheduling one that same week that I am visiting with the Army ROTC Department. But my question/ confusion comes to the fact that VMI doesn't open the online applications until 1 September. So how will I know if I am accepted in time if I receive a scholarship and have to make a decision in regards to the school for which I would accept it?

Kate,
The PMI interview is part of the application process, the interview is scored
and added to your application packet.

You will be informed at a later date if they are offering you a scholarship
Mid-Oct at the earliest.

Kate, it is the common occurrence for early board awardees to NOT be accepted into the schools they have applied for yet. You have to take a leap of faith in committing to the school of your choice in that situation, but that is just how it is. There are opportunities to transfer your scholarship to another school later in the process if you should not get accepted to the school you have chosen to apply the scholarship toward.

It is important to list safety schools in your top 7 college choices for this reason.
