Just curious: Has anyone tried to get on the NA running plan? When I first saw it I laughed because I didn't think anyone could go from a 9 min mile to 3 miles under 20 min. But, I was also slightly worried because maybe they expected everyone to come in July with the ability to run 6:30 minute miles.

For any midshipmen on the forum: how fast (minute miles) is considered fast as a plebe anyway? Just curious.

Well for males your PRT min is a 7:00 mile pace, thats the worst you can do however not everyone shows up being able to do that, it is not unreasonable at all to run a 6:30 mile. I think girls pace was just over an 8:00 min mile but I don't care enough right now to look it up or do the math.

For a Xcounty kid its not unreasonable but my question is if you run a 5:30 mile should you! i mean if you come out killing yourself will you be expected to improve? I'm hearing at group runs the pace has to all match with is hard on runners to change pace from what they are use to . with all the other physical demands how should they pace themselves for all the running i am hearing they will be doing?

Yeah, I mean, 7:00 pace for 1.5 mile is definitely not unreasonable in any way, but what would they expect for a "fast pace" for 3-4 miles?
