Flying out from Seattle for my son's appointee tour on 4/16...well at least that is/was the plan. Unfortunately the weather is looking like 2-feet of snow and 30mph winds. Flights cancelled all over Denver. Is there another airport we could fly into and drive?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Same issue. Trying to fly out of Philadelphia today to Colorado Springs but flight canceled. Tried to rebook for tomorrow but nothing is available. Also tried Denver.

What are the chances of it (the appointee tour) being canceled on 4/18. Before going thru heroics to get there (akin to amazing race), I'd like to know there's still a prize at the other end

Also hoping to get from WA State to COS! Good luck everyone!

May change our flight to Albuqurque if Denver flight from Seattle cancels. Has anyone done the drive north from NM to COS?

It's been a while, but straight shot on I-25, six hours Abuquerque airport to USAFA. I had SW points to burn, and we never pass up a visit to the desert, so we used that itinerary to attend USNA-USAFA football games, then spent a few days in Albuquerque or Santa Fe. If weather (no late spring snowstorms or summer dust storms) and traffic are good, easy-peasy.

I hope you all make it! we were fortunate enough to get out on friday afternoon before they started cancelling flights. there is a lot of snow, but the roads all seem very driveable - very wet and slushy, but don't seem to be a problem. supposed to snow more but get warmer (a little) tomorrow and monday. good luck!

You would have to go through Raton pass -- check to see if its closed before going this route.

I would also call admissions and see if they are postponing the tours or accommodating late arrivals. They know the airports are closed & are usually pretty good about having backup plans.
