Appointment Statistics

33 ACT and 1530 SAT got me into USMA and USAFA in a competitive district. I originally got a 28 and 1320 but studied like crazy to improve which maybe they liked. Anything above 30 or 1400 proves you are academically qualified—in my opinion.
Congrats!! An 1100 SAT may also mean you are academically qualified...DD got into USMMA as well. 🤷‍♀️

It doesn’t matter because people have been denied with 35s and people gotten accepted with 27s all depends on the whole application
This ^ You can't judge the potential success of your application on just the academics and especially the SAT/ACT scores. The AF is looking at the "Whole Person" and your activities along with the interviews and a myriad of other considerations are all important. Don't over extend yourself in too many things, but show excellence and resilience in your select sports/extracurriculars and show your ability to adapt, be flexible and lead.

Just out of curiosity, what did your other statistics look like? Extracurriculars, CFA, etc.
3.8ish GPA
1230 SAT (660 EBRW, 570 Math)
Took pretty much all honors/dual enrollment/AP classes
CFA scores well above minimum, I think mine were at or above average.

I didn't do any school-sanctioned athletics, but have been a competitive biker for some time.

Model UN
National Technical Honor Society
Theater Tech
Student Volunteer Groups
Student Journalism
Student Government
Honor Roll
A few other ECs here and there, like #ICANHELP, but nothing else "major".

4 part-time jobs as an EMT, and 1 volunteer position as an Emergency Medical Technician/Emergency Vehicle Operator. Atleast 3000 hours, 1000 of which volunteer.
Private Pilot's License

Two senator nominations (technically. Maryland will only actually award one so that they can nominate as many people as possible. I was informed in writing that if one hadn't given me a nom, the other would have.)
Presidential nomination

After I Day, I'd be happy to post a PDF of my application.

Yes. A better way to phrase what I meant to say is that a 30 or 1400 makes you beyond academically qualified and can help to really impress admissions.

Remember that someone may do better on the other standardized test. I found the ACT to be easier than the old SAT back in the day, and I just focused on prepping for the ACT. It's good to try both

What were your other stats like? (ie. sports, leadership, etc.)
2x team captain, 2xClub President, Boys State, 4.71 GPA, noAPs, played church league basketball, 3-4 different programs volunteered at, in Health Academy, and Rho Kappa. There's more but just a brief overveiw
