Appointment Visiting Opportunity?

Hello,

I have received my appointment to the USAFA on January 15th and read somewhere on this forum that USAFA had some sort of visiting event for applicants that received an appointment. I was wondering if anybody here could tell me more information about this event (some information on cost would help as well).

The reason I am asking this is due to the fact that I am very stuck between choosing to attend the USAFA and the USNA. (One of the reasons as per my username is because I would like to pursue aviation :) )

I was very fortunate to receive a paid-for visit to the Naval Academy and was wondering if I could find an opportunity to visit the USAFA as well to compare and make the best decision for myself. (The reason I asked for the cost is due to the fact that my family is financially unstable.)

Thank you and any help/information is appreciated!

My son went in 2019, I don't there was any cost to attend but you have to pay to get yourself there and hotel/food while there. There was an information session at the beginning then the appointed students went with cadets to tour/ask questions/eat. Parents went on a separate tour and received more information. Meet back together in the afternoon. It was a valuable experience and helped in his decision making.

We were there in 2019 too. There are usually two days in mid-late April

We also were able to set up a meeting with a professor after the event. If you have a specific major in mind, admissions may be able to help arrange a meeting like that for you.
