Appointments still for USCGA 2016?

I have spent some time on the USNA forum and it seems that most of the applicants have found out one way or the other if they are being offered an appointment. What is the general feeling of the status of USCGA appointments? I ask because we have not heard on way or the other from the USCGA but ds did get an email from the basketball coach this week asking for a video. Could he still be under consideration for an appointment? Just wondering what you guys think....

I am not sure if this applies to this year, but last year DS did not receive his BFE until April 16. No news is good news. Still I remember how tough it was waiting and letter carrier stalking at this time last year. Hang in there. Good luck.

My DS received a letter last Thursday (March 29) from the USCGA stating that his app would be reviewed in the next few weeks. So all hope is not lost!
