In the portal, the packing list is in the most recent Admitted Packet under packing list. The boot and show specifications and order form should be in the first Admitted Packet. I believe the document was called "Shoe Order Form" or something like that.

I don't think you want the insulated boots. I am sure that I read somewhere that you want "hot weather boots". Insulated boots will cook your cadets feet in the summer.

Low quarters aren't a huge issue, it's weird because you get them issued to you but you also "need" them for R-day. It's not a huge issue if you don't have them, nobody will flay you alive for it, and you'll save money by not buying them before they get issued to you, otherwise you have two pairs. Boots on the other hand are important, because issued boots are uncomfortable. The definition of army-regulation boots is pretty liberal considering that it's not a "list of authorized boots", it's a set of guidelines for qualities for which boots would be authorized. If you want to know, look up ARMY PAM 670-1 and go to page 121. That being said, Garmont makes good books, Oakley makes good boots.
