Hi- I was wondering if MOC are made aware of a candidate having and LOA? Also would the VP also have that information?

The SAs make the choice for the VP, as I understand the process.

If you have an LOA, you should provide a copy to your elected officials’ staffers - if you haven’t had an interview yet or the nom results aren’t out. Just call and politely ask them if you could add something to your file, and be prepared to email a scanned copy.

Typically - yes - Members of Congress are notified of LOAs. It still makes good sense to let the MOC interview coordinator know about it, just in case.

Edit: Beaten by Capt MJ ;)
My DS never got an electronic or physical copy of his LOA. It was just an EMail notification to check the online system, so there was really nothing to forward to the MOC. By the time he sat for interviews, they all already knew.

As @THParent notes, they are notified. It is always worthwhile to never assume the info gets in front of the people you want to see it at the right time.

If it’s a portal update, I’d take a screen shot.
