Very well-written article about how Army is evolving dramatically from the hallowed triple-option offense that’s ruled SA football for decades. Jeff Monken seems like a great leader — open, thoughtful, humble, driven.
(My favorite part: He maintains his players’ focus on Navy and AF by placing those SAs’ logos on pucks in the urinals.
Just last week, I explained to college students in my Buyer Behavior course the power of selective attention. When the Schipol Airport in Amsterdam placed the image of a small fly in urinals, it reduced the “mess” by 80%. I used to stop over regularly at Schipol when I worked internationally. I used to marvel at the cleanliness of its men’s rooms. So the Army locker room must have very clean urinal areas.
