Army ROTC 2nd Board Results!

(I’ve read so many past threads that I think I’m going cross-eyed, so I’ll just come out and ask).
So “each application is only boarded once”, is that what BOARDED means? And is BOARDED a good sign or are we getting our hopes up for nothing?

(edited to add that my DD didn’t complete her application in time for the first board, so this is her first shot).
Boarded in the context of this discussion means reviewed by the Board. So all of the applications in by the 1st board were Boarded (reviewed and scored). The candidate will be given a score (OML) and put in a pile. Winners were selected based on the OML. Those applications that were not selected WERE NOT reviewed again during the 2nd Board. After all of the applications that were submitted for the 2nd Board are scored (OML) they are put in a pile with the ones carried over from the 1st Board. Based on the OML, scholarships are awarded. Same process for the 3rd Board. This is the reason why you should only submit your packet when it is absolutely the best possible packet.

So does the three year mean it starts sophomore year? Or it's the first 3 years of college?

STOP - Everyone that is a winner. Don't ask 1000 questions about what next or what does this mean. Look under the Additional Information tab and read everything in there. Do your research and understand what you have been offered and how it works.

Another piece of advice. DoDMERB is the next hurdle (unless you are an SA applicant and are already in process). Go spend the next week in the DoDMERB forum and read the thousands of threads about the process and how to complete it.

Congratulations to everyone who won!! If I am still B/UC right now does that mean I definitely did not receive a scholarship during the 2nd board?

Yes. The B/UC tab updated to "Applicants in this Status were Boarded on our OCT 20 or JAN 21 Selection Boards and were not selected to receive an offer from either Board. These applicants remain eligible to receive an offer from our MAR 21 Selection Board."
