oh thanks haha. Looks like my hypothesis was incorrect. Most likely did not get a scholarship. very bummed out and to be honest not confident for getting the 3rd board. I wish I knew what pushed me to not get one for first two, but who knows I guess

Did your friends ever get an update? I saw an earlier message we had shared with your stats. I am surprised you've not seen anything.
Not sure, but they never said anything back so I think they had no change as well. Did you get any update? Also, I thought I had a good chance as well. Turns out it wasn't enough. Getting into USCGA and getting senator nom is no indication that you will get an ROTC I guess. I really wish I could know what I done wrong to be so low in the OML. Life goes on but in a more somber setting for me.

I am grateful that USCGA saw fit to give me an Appointment! But it is not indication for anything. I will most likely take the appointment and leave ROTC back to the dreams.
Your lucky you have more than one option...if its a no for rotc with me...im going the enlisted route but it is what it is.

Enlisted is a great choice! I thought about doing it myself. You could always join ROTC from the school itself. Always an option

My son got his scholarship 3 years ago and his weakness was that his SAT scores were in the high 1200s. At that time applicants with scores in the 1200s seemed to mostly fall to the 3rd board, but I can’t speak to this year. There are a lot of components that go into the decision, so it’s different for everyone. In his case he had 3.9 gpa, AP classes, varsity sports and captain, maxed PT, etc. He just underestimated the weight of the SAT.
My DS has a red banner around Winner. I'm seeing on here something about that the red banner indicates an issue. I have celebrated, but now I'm concerned I jumped the gun. Could he not be a winner?
