Army ROTC and Weight Standards

DS is underweight for Army weight standards by about 10-12 pounds. Apparently, he will not be DQ'd by DoDMERB, as long as it isn't because of a medical condition, which it isn't. He's going to start working with a nutritionist, but putting on weight has always been a challenge for him. Does anyone know what happens if/when he shows up to his ROTC unit in the fall and is underweight? Edited to add: the minimum weight for his height is 117 lb, so 10 pounds underweight is significant for his category.
 
They will evaluate and see if there's anything medically he needs requiring treatment:wiggle:
