My DD was going to get a head start and apply for a CULP mission this coming summer. She went to the Cadet portal and found this notice:

CULP Deployment [-]
Due to budget constraints, over competing requirements and global Defense priorities the Program is suspending operations indefinitely. We are no longer accepting CU&LP CCWP applications. After Summer of FY19 there will be no more Missions programmed.

That is a shame. The cadets that have been able to participate in CULP seem to have gotten a lot out of it. Oh well....

Very disappointing to hear this.

CULP is an awesome, potentially life changing program.

Don't give up! There are other overseas opportunities.

Check out Project GO. After MS II year, my DS studied Russian in Kiev, Ukraine with Project GO and lived with a family. I would say that PG is probably more valuable because it's an intensive language study program.
