Army ROTC Scholarship BFE Question

DD was notified by phone call by college AROTC Colonel he received 4 year scholarship and we confirmed it in his ROTC portal. Portal shows the award letter in .tiff form.

We have not received his mailed package yet to accept the scholarship. Has anyone received theirs yet?

My DS's BFE showed up yesterday Priority mail after being informed via portal update last week. It is very nice!

Congrats! So the portal update happened prior to the BFE arriving? Did you get a call from anyone? Everyone's story is so different. Does it show where PDF's are or in profile or overview?

Portal updated in Selection Status to Winner from Boarded. Then in File Upload tab the Winner Letter was uploaded on pdf file. The BFE came US PS Priority Mail one day later. 3 yr Advanced designee scholarship is for #1, 2, 3 scools. Received calls from #2 and 4 schools' ROO's. DS is going to #3 school that pays 4 years of room and board also.

UPDATE: The package finally arrived on 2/18/2017. The package was mailed on 2/15/2017 and the portal had updated with notice on 2/8/2017. So, ten days from portal to BFE package.

The BFE package came via USPS Priority Mail. The letter in the package has two parts to be signed. 1) Accept the scholarship. 2) Acknowledge the multi-page directions regarding the scholarship. We uploaded a pdf copy of both pages to the portal. There is an option to label the upload as an 'acceptance and acknowledgement'.

Today the Postal Service was closed due to President's Day. I'm sure everyone will get theirs tomorrow.

My DD received hers on Friday! She is very grateful for a 3 yrs Advanced Designee Scholarship to her top 3 choices. She is still waiting on USMA too. Acceptance for AROTC needs to be in by 3/10/17. She will be accepting/uploading this weekend.

Yes we my son received his last Friday. It was a large envelope and was delivered to the door and not able to be put in the mailbox.

We did it just to be sure they have it. We also faxed it, so we can prove that they received it in time.

OK...Wednesday at 5.30 p.m. EST. Nothing. He did get a nice letter from the Army PMS at VMI. No BFE.
