Anyone have experience with the West Point summer sports camps?
Specifically, wondering about the track and cross country camps. Not sure if there are a lot of highschoolers who attend these or are they mainly for younger kids. Thought it might be a good chance for my DD who is a current sophomore to check out West Point.

Last summer, my DD (who is currently a senior in high school) went to SLE and ended up talking with the women's rugby coach. She's never played rugby before. She decided to go back in August for their camp, to try it out. To your point, yes, she got to check out West Point (for her, again). And had a great time. The kids were different ages but it did not bother her.

I recommend the camps to my students all the time. A number of my students have attended the summer sports camps at the different academies (USAFA, USNA and USMA). It is a great way to see the schools. All ages attend (with some lower age limits for younger athletes). One of my students attended the West Point wrestling camp last summer and enjoyed it very much. Plus, there was added value with staying in the dorms, talking to cadets, meeting the coaching staff and experiencing the 'environment' in person. I think your daughter would enjoy the experience and learn new running skills too.
