Has Army ROTC Cadet Command reached out to anyone regarding medical forms/statuses? I've been Under Waiver Review since March and nothing yet. I'm curious to hear of other people's current situation.

Is this a waiver for Commission or to get admitted to AROTC to start the program?

We got an email the last week of May from our PMS that of the 12 incoming sophomores we all met our obligations to contract and that the Cadet Command Surgeon's office is aware and processing the three that need medical waivers. Everyone else is DoDMERB qualified. We have a snapchat group and those three are nervous and anxiously waiting, because nothing has been sent to them, or requested of them yet.

Another VERY pertinent question. My understanding (And I am NOT Mr. Mullen) is that the DoDMERB Waivers for "attending" ROTC come in as processed and you can participate but cannot receive your scholarship funding till you get your Waiver. If it is your Commissioning Waiver, then I do not think you can actually Commission unless it is granted. Mr. Mullen can probably give you the inside scoop of what occurs if the Waiver is not granted either by graduation date or ever.

So at least I know the Command Surgeon is aware of the cadets needing waivers; I thought we were sidelined a bit due to other factors.

To update you- we got an email last night that the three who needed waivers, received their waivers and are marked as "qualified" to contract. Cheers to Cadet Command Surgeon's Office and the folks at DODMERB.
