AROTC 3rd board results are posted!

Good morning All,
Has everyone gotten a reply? Nothing has changed on my sons portal. Just still says B/UC, schools of intent not locked either..........

First you need to accept one of the schools it was offered too, then you need to write a short letter stating why you want to change schools, upload it and upload a letter of acceptance to that school. It's all done on the site. There is no guarantee they will change the school so make sure where it is accepted to he wants to attend.
 
DS received a 4 year full ride under NROTC MO to a private HBCU and a 3 year AROTC to his top two public schools this am. He's exhausted, lol. Was already contacted by both schools (AROTC) via email. His MO packet came FedEx last night. Congratulations to all the young men and women. As a Navy Veteran (8 years enlisted) I can tell you, if you choose to accept this opportunity and serve (even for your commitment) you'll be forever changed in an incredibly positive way. You have some of the most exciting times of your lives ahead of you. Good luck and God speed!
 
DS already had a 4 year NROTC to VMI in hand, and just found out this morning that he got a 3 year AROTC to VMI and Benedictine. The AROTC to Benedictine is a solid "no" because of the out of state costs, but he might actually be close to full ride at Benedictine once athletic money is added. Now, just waiting to hear from USCGA for his final decision. Exciting time, but big decisions afoot. Good problems to have, I guess. Congrats, and best of luck to those re-applying. As a 4-year Army vet myself, I echo what Donkopolous says; service is its own reward.
 
My DS portal still says Boarded/Under Consideration. Is there still a chance or do you think all the notifications are done? (Where they all sent out at once?)
 
We haven't actually gotten the notification, just the portal update. My suspicion is that all portals were updated at the same time. But that being said, knowing the Army like I do, I suspect nothing is official until there's a letter. I'd say keep the faith until you receive the official decision.
