Does anyone know how a student would be notified if their scholarship transfer request is denied? Or how how long it might take to get that information?

Have you checked your portal lately? All of the updates pertaining to transfer requests should be reflected in the portal. Good luck.

She checks it multiple time a day, but nothing has changed. We have been through all the instructions but can’t find any information about how we would know if a transfer is declined. We aren’t sure if something would show somewhere in the portal or if she would get an email. Still praying no news is good news!

In addition to the portal update, my DS received an email from Cadet Command notifying him that the request was approved. Not sure if the email would also be sent on a denial. His took about 10 days, but somebody on here had to wait 30+ for the approval to go through.

OK - Thanks for then detail. There is an email and a phone number for CC in the portal. They are very good about responding.
With regards to timing, it is usually pretty quick - but this is a very busy time so it could take a few weeks to resolve.

My approved NROTC Transfer request took less than 24 hours. Before I requested the transfer I contacted the NROTCU to see if they had room for me, and they welcomed me to join them immediately. I also waited to be officially accepted by the university, and confirmed I could use the university scholarship for my room and board costs. Once I had the pertinent information I sent in my request. The process was easy, fast and with no questions or hassle what-so-ever. I am actually grateful my first choice school did not accept me, because I wouldn't have found the school and unit I was meant to be at. My transfer school wasn't even on my top 5. Everything works out the way it should!

DS requested his AROTC transfer on 3/3 and was approved on 3/22. He received an email letting him know if had been approved, so i would bet if it's declined they will also notify. Good luck!
