AROTC final board announcement

My DS was sent an e-mail on Friday. However, the website status did not change. He was offered an Ike Skelton ECP scholarship. The e-mail stated the website will not change until he makes a decision regarding the Offer. By the way, he will NOT accept it.
 
For all those who go back to this stream in next years, my son was a winner and the posting did NOT go back to boarded. it stayed under consideration until the end.
 
What portal are ya'll checking? My DS checks his USAFA portal, but is there a separate portal for AROTC? He was notified two weeks ago that he is in competition for one of those, but I'm unsure if there is a second portal with that information in it?

My DS just received an email from the 4 year college ROTC officer that he was awarded a 4 year AROTC scholarship in addition to a grant from the college that will cover the room and board for ROTC scholarship winners. This is his "plan B" , his "plan A" is to still receive an appointment to USMA.
 
Just checked my board today and it still says under consideration. Is this a glitch or could I still have a chance to receive a scholarship

I would call the ROO at the schools you want to go to, because mine also says boarded/uc but when I called 2 of my schools they said I received a 3 year AD scholarship.

I would call the ROO at the schools you want to go to, because mine also says boarded/uc but when I called 2 of my schools they said I received a 3 year AD scholarship.

OH WOW Congratulations! You bring hope to those of us who are sitting with the same status. I told my DD what happened to you and she is contacting her schools to find out for sure she did not receive the scholarship. Thanks for letting us know.

Each service branch has it's own corresponding portal...

So I called my ROO at my first school and they said that I hadn't received an offer YET. They said that this status is there for people that could still receive an offer from Command and They also said that it should finalize in the next day or two. Also if you don't receive an offer to any of your schools ( I could be in this boat) and you truly want to do ROTC you can always get a walk on scholarship which is a great possibility. Just because you don't look good on paper doesn't mean you would be a bad leader or a bad Army officer. You are not out of the fight! Just work hard and never give up!

My DD contacted the ROO who conducted her application interview and he said the exact same thing. You couldn't of said it better. Everyone keep up the hard work and show what you can do in person!
 
That is absolutely amazing. Congratulations! You give the rest of us a glimmer of hope. Can I ask where the package is mailed from?
 
My son's says boarded underconsideration, not selected for a 3 or 4 yr scholarship, but still eligable for ancillary offers. Any idea what that means? Is that after some turn down their offers?

Why not just check both each day? Then you're covered. Who knows when things they've done in the past will change?

Good point. PMS contacted my boy directly with the good news that he was upgraded.
