DS is going call to schedule his interview soon. If he does his interview anytime before the first board date will he be considered for that board, or does he need to shoot for a week or two before that date? I see the deadline for documents is dec 2. Does that mean he can have the interview on Dec 2 and still be considered? With thanksgiving the week before that I’m thinking he’ll need to conduct the interview at least the week before thanksgiving. Would the week before thanksgiving be safe?

My DS’s experience is the AROTC site is the most user friendly of all that he used. They update things as soon as you submit the paperwork. That being said, your son will want to give his interviewer time to upload the report. I think it took a week from the day of interview to the report submission for my DS.

It’s dependent on how fast the PMS uploads the interview worksheet.

The PMS might be nice and upload quickly knowing the deadline is 2 December.

Some PMS are super busy so they upload when they can. I’d give the PMS at least 2-3 weeks during the academic year to upload.

My DD interviewed the first week in July 2018. The PMS didn’t upload the worksheet until early September. I don’t know if he took his time knowing the deadline for the first board wasn’t until October or if he was just a procrastinator.

Maybe your DS can gently tell the PMS he wants to get looked at during the first board so that’ll give the PMS a hint to get it in before the deadline.

My gut tells me most PMS are accommodating and will do what they need to do to help out each candidate when it comes to suspenses for the individual boards.

my DS is in the same boat. He called one top school that he would have to take a train to but hasn’t heard back. He will start calling some other ones on Monday.
DS spoke/emailed/texted primarily with the unit’s enrollment/scholarship officer, not the PMS. The scholarship officer set up the interview, which was a FaceTime interview; the school is several hours and a different time zone away. The enrollment officer texted DS when the report was uploaded. DS had zero luck getting in touch with the folks at the unit closest to us. But almost immediately after the report was uploaded his status changed to Board Ready.
